Landing on a Glacier in Alaska: Our Juneau Helicopter Adventure

Would you land on a glacier?
That was the question running through our minds as we lifted off from Juneau in a helicopter, climbed over the mountains, and set down on a river of ice in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness. Spoiler: it might be one of the most incredible things we've ever done.

The Flight
The experience starts the moment you leave the ground. Rising up out of Juneau, the scenery opens into snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, and endless ice stretching further than you can see. It's the kind of view that makes you go quiet — the scale of Alaska from the air is something photos just can't capture.
Touching Down on the Ice
Then comes the part that still gives us chills: actually landing on the glacier. Stepping out of the helicopter and standing on ancient ice, surrounded by mountains on every side, is pure magic. It's silent, vast, and humbling in the best possible way. We spent the whole time grinning at each other, half in disbelief that we were really there.
Is It Worth It?
